9 months old!

I had my 9 month old well visit at the doctor today. I am now 19 pounds 11 ounces and 28 1/2 inches long. Mommy thinks I am actually 29 inches since they couldn't get a good measurement of me because I refuse to lay on my back and I was twisting around trying to sit up. I don't like to be constrained. They should know better by now. Mommy does and she has learned how to change me while I am standing up. She has talent.

I went to Oregon and got to see grandparents and great-grandparents, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. It was pretty special to see my grandparents but also to see my great-grandma and grandpa. I am their first great-grandchild.

Here I am with my grandparents

Here I am with my great-grandpa

This is with my grandma and great-grandma

We went to a river. It was really windy but I was just hanging out. There was so much cool stuff to see.

Does my hair look okay?

It was a very fun trip. I even got to go swimming and I love to swim and splash in the water. I actually like flying more than I like driving. I hate my carseat and make it known to my parents that I do not want to be stuck in there. I do not like to be constrained. Just ask my mom. She has gotten to be an expert at changing my diaper while I am standing up.

Can you see my teeth? I still only have two toofers right now, but it seems like my top two are going to come in next.

We had fun on Memorial Day. All of the boys came over to my house to play. It was great! I tend to crawl on top of them though. But only because I love them.

Here we all are! Milo is keeping me contained so mommy can take the picture.

I don't know why my mom thinks these pictures are so funny. I was just trying to eat my lunch and all of a sudden she started taking pictures of me.

You want me to smile? I'd rather be eating my hot dog you know.

Oh. There is a hot dog behind my ear?  I wonder how that got there?

Is it okay if I just save it for a snack for later?

I clap with my hands open all the time now and I love to wave hi and bye to people! I am also a speed demon and like to play with everything. Mommy and daddy had to get serious about the baby proofing and put up a baby gate between the living room and dining room. I don't like that either. The living room isn't nearly big enough for me!

A big day of firsts!

Today was a fun and exciting day for me! It was my mom's first mother's day.  Daddy and I got her lovely cards and a very pretty new dish. She loved all of them. She told me she feels very lucky to be my mom.

Then we went to my very first Cleveland Indians baseball game! I even wore my baseball shoes and my special baseball outfit. I looked quite sporty.

Here I am on the way there. It was such a nice day out today! The perfect kind of day for baseball.

My mom is a bit silly. I've already perfected my 'mom, you are being weird' look.

I got to try my very first hot dog today.  I now love hot dogs.

Don't I look cool?

The game was also the perfect place for me to take my nap.

I hoped that if I wore my rally cap, the Indians would make a comeback in the 9th inning.

I got my very first baseball after the game! A nice man saw me and threw me a ball! We almost got hit in the head with a foul ball but that is a different story.

I'm on the move!

I can crawl! My mom and dad are in big trouble now! Last night I was sleep crawling (my mom thinks this is one of the funniest things she has ever seen) and this morning I crawled in the hallway. I still don't love to crawl but I do it so I can get to the things I like to play with. Like the computer cords or the xbox controllers.

My mom says our house is one big baby deathtrap and now she HAS to babyproof everything since I just won't stay put.

I also say Da da da da all the time now. Sometimes I throw mommy a bone and say ma ma. But, mostly I say da da.  I am quite the chatty little guy. I love to talk to people.

Mommy says she is going to upload some pictures tomorrow. She hasn't had a chance to do it since I have been a bit crabby lately.

I have toofers!

On tuesday, April 28, I got my first two teeth! Isn't that exciting? My  mommy could tell that I was going to get some teeth (finally) and I started having a hard time teething on sunday, by monday I was kind of cranky (teething hurts!) and on tuesday I was pretty miserable. My mom made sure I got plenty of sleep and tried to make me more comfortable. I took a snooze at 7pm and when I woke up around 8pm I was my happy cheerful self again! I was laughing and my mom snuck a peek in my mouth and there they were! I got both of my bottom front teeth at once! There weren't there when I fell asleep but were there when I woke up!

I am so much happier now that they have come in. Teething hurts! I would show you a picture but I won't let anyone see my teeth right now.

Here is me at gymboree last week. I loved looking through the tunnel at my mom!

It was nice out so I got some naked time outside.

I LOVE to stand up. I can pull myself up on pretty much anything and I have so much fun climbing all over things. I can crawl but I really don't like to. I would much rather stand up. My mom thinks I am going to walk soon. I know how to sit myself up too!

Look! No hands!

I also started learning how to swim this week. My mom took me to my first swim class and she says I am a little fish. I love the water and am learning how to blow bubbles and kick my legs and paddle my arms.  Here I am right before I went to my first class.

San Diego fun

My mom and dad decided to take me away for the weekend to San Diego. Here I am on the airplane on the way there. We had to leave very early in the morning but I was still a happy guy.

I loved to look out the window. There was so much to see!

I had so much fun when I had my own seat to sit in! I really liked diving head first onto the ground to try to pick up my toys.

Here I am with mom. Can you believe how big I've gotten since my last trip on a plane?

We had so much fun! We went to the Scripps aquarium and looked at the fish.

This fish was bigger than me!

I was so curious about the fish that I didn't want to look at the camera. There was so much cool stuff to see!

The eels were a little bit scary though.

I loved taking naps while we were there. It was so warm that I could just sleep in my diaper. For some reason my mom thinks it is funny to take pictures of me while I am sleeping. I am not amused.

Do you like my shirt? I think I look festive.

Mom forgot to bring me a toy to dinner and I was getting cranky. My dad was super smart and gave me one of the mini-pickles. I LOVE them.

I had a very nice time at lunch. There was a lovely bench and some pillows for me to lounge on.

Here I am at the beach in La Jolla.

My mom thinks it is fun to take naked pictures of me. I don't mind too much because I love being naked!  And I have a cute toosh.

I loved going swimming with my mom! It was so much fun to splash in the water.

I had a great time while we were gone even though I woke up at
4 a.m. the first two nights were were there because I was wide awake and ready to play. My mom was very tired for a couple of days.

fun with jack

My bestest friend Jack came over the other day. We always have so much fun together. Today we sat and blew bubbles outside. We both love bubbles.  We have finally started to notice each other now. We like to hang out until we start grabbing each other and get mad and yell for our moms.

This is Jack and his mommy Kara

Here is a picture of me with my mommy

Our moms are kind of mean and made us lay on our bellies. Then they watched while we yelled. It was not very nice of them.

I love grass. I really love to pick it and eat it. My mom won't let me eat it though. She says that she will just put me in the yard instead of waiting for daddy to mow the lawn this summer. I am such a helpful little guy.
